Why You Need a URL Export Before Migrating

Magento and Shopify use very different URL structures.

In Mangento, a product URL looks like

/blue-shirt.html

In Shopify it changes to:

/products/blue-shirt

The same goes for all of the different types of pages on your Magento Store (Categories / Collections, blogs, and other pages),

Magento often includes .html extensions and nested category paths that Shopify does not use. Without proper redirects, these differences can cause significant SEO loss during migration.
